Misha Cloin is an abstract artist with a studio based in Edam, the Netherlands. Her work balances raw, untamed energy with moments of soft- and stillness. Through this play of contrasts, her paintings reflect the many facets of human nature; from vulnerability and sensitivity to strength and intensity. Cloin uses a mix of acrylic paint, Soft- & oil pastels and graphite pencils to create depth, texture and emotion into her work.

Her process is purely intuitive. Each painting begins as an open exploration of colours, signs, movements and sensations. As this dialogue between artist and canvas unfolds, the work gradually takes on its own voice, guiding the direction beyond the boundaries of the ego.
